Untuk memberikan opsi yang lebih banyak Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacture memperkenalkan versi tyerabru Yamaha Mio dengan nama Mio S pada tauh 2018 lalu. Secara khusus Yamaha menempatkan motor ini untuk kaum Hawa dimana desain motor ini lebih kelihatan cantik dan menariknya sudah menggunakan lampu LED.
Platform pengembangan memang masih menggunakan mesin dan rangka Yamaha Mio M3 cuman sektor-kaki-kaki menggunakan velg Mio Z dengan tapak profil velg yang lebih lebar. Ban juga menggunakan tipe tubeless yang selaion lebih awet juga lebih aman untuk digunakan wanita.
