Ketika pertama kali diperkenalkan Yamaha Aerox 155 VVA 2019 langsung menggebrak pasar tanah air dengan konsep maxy scooter dengan desain yang sporty. Tidak hanya itu ketika diperkenalkan pertama kali tahun 2016 lalu langsung terlihat spesial karena menggunakan Smart Key yang menggunakan remote, jadi untuk menyalakan tinggal memutar knob yang tersedia untuk versi S.
Tekukan bodi motor ini beneran agresif mulai dari depan dan dibelakang, lampu depan dan belakang menggunakan lampu LED yang secara kualitas beneran lebih baik. Namun lampu sein menggunakan bohlamp. Speedometer menggunakan model digital dengan fitur yang cukup komplit lengkap dengan tackometer berbentuk bar.
Sektor mesin juga memiliki perhatian yang cukup menarik, menggunakan mesin 155cc SOHC yang dilengkapi dengan VVA. Suplai bahan bakar menggunakan injeksi dan menggunakan sistem pendingin cairan untuk menjaga suhu mesin tetap adem. Mesin ini mampu memuntahkan tenaga 11.0 kW (14,9PS) / 8000 rpm dan torsi puncak yang dihasilkan 13.8 Nm / 6250 rpm.
